What will my child do after classes every day?
At most boarding schools, it’s expected that every student will participate in afternoon activities throughout the school year. Each school has a wide variety of arts, athletics and specialized extracurriculars. Students typically spend about two hours after class in these activities. Then it’s dinner with their friends and faculty. And on most weeknights, students have a mandatory study hall for about two hours to get all of their homework done. As students progress to junior and senior years, and maintain grades in good standing, they may have more freedom during evening study hours.
